Великолепная политическая комедия. Не так актуальна для русского полушария, но может представлять интерес как политический комментарий к событиям происходившим на западе 5 лет назад.

Читал в оригинале этот и пару других фиков СтаройКошки: стиль суховатый, декларативный. Соответсвенно, создание миров удается автору гораздо лучше, чем повествование о героях, эмоциональной составляющей не хватает; с другой стороны такой стиль хорошо подходит её персонажам -- волевым, целеустремлённым, рациональным -- так что недостатком это не является. Большинство персонажей Кошки -- социопаты, так что художественно скупая безэмоциональная манера изложения отлично передает характер героев.
Автор до сих пор пишет, что особенно радует.

Starts like a rather silly PWP with a rather stupid premise, but gradually develops into quite a good story. The ending, although not plothole-free, is very powerful and satisfying and ties all loose ends together (into a rather loose knot, I would say, due to some inconsistencies; but the story's value is mostly emotional).

The thing I love about this fic the most is how it treats Potterangst: "They LIE to me, they never tell me EVERYTHING! They MUST tell me EVERYTHING, I'M HARRY POTTER, ARGHH!" He was a total puppet from book one, his only purpose in life since that fateful Halloween was to die so that Voldemort could die too. All the fucking shit Dumbledore pulled Harry through was basically just to give him a chance to live after his last encounter with Voldemort. Surely, poor thing Harry didn't deserve to die, and here he even starts to learn to be better than canon!Harry self-centered hypocritical shit who rides on other people's coattails and never shows a hint of gratitude. But then again in the Harry Potter World so many never got what they deserved: be it punishment or reward.
And of course, Dumbledore getting challenged on and called to account for his misdeeds is always a pleasure to read too.
