Five seconds. “Malfoy, please.” This was said with beseeching eyes. Hermione gave him her best doe-like stare and was hopeful at the way his cheeks flushed pink.

Four. He regarded her, his grey eyes alight with mischief and a trace of something else she could not discern. “I’ll do it for a kiss, Granger. No less.”

“And no more?”

“I didn’t say that.”

Three. Hermione flushed. “You can’t be serious.”

Two. “I am.”
