After his brother is denied justice and his mother the eye of Lucerys Velaryon, Aegon Targaryen takes the matter into his own hands and sets out to prove that he is better than his whore sister and her bastard brood. He drags Lucerys to the fireplace, intending to burn him, or at least his face, but only succeeds in burning his hand due to Rhaneyra's interference. He then goes on to prove that he and his siblings are unburnt, and, therefore, are true Targaryens, and better than anyone in their family.
However, he forgot the most important thing: in the game of thrones, proving yourself can be deadly.
