The slave, Damien (слэш)

The Hadria Empire was built on the backs of slaves. It only made sense, really. Slavery kept population in check. It kept the economy booming. People had more time for things they enjoyed.
Hadria had been the first nation to reestablish slavery as a practice. They had been called cruel, but results spoke for themselves. From the great Harold Grant to the current emperor, Christopher Grant, strong armies and tactical prowess had cut down opposition. The more they destroyed, the more they gained. Now, Hadria held control of the majority of the world, and other nations had started loosening their anti-slavery standings.
One small kingdom kept its stand, resolved to deny slavery always. Hyeweh remained poor while other countries prospered, but it's people were also considered to be the happiest in the world.
Maybe that was why the empire turned it's sights on this poor, insignificant kingdom. Maybe Emperor Grant saw that freedom as a threat. Whatever the reason, it seems the two countries are on the brink of war. And the poor King of Hyeweh, King Odir Hamaras, has absolutely no chance of success.
