Daemon's own demise was supposed to open the opportunity Rhaenyra needed to win this war once and for all... but as he fell, the Gods must have decided they had other plans, for instead of breaking his bones at making contact with the water, he found himself in a soft bed. His bond with Caraxes broken. His soul shattered. In so much pain that he could only open his mouth and scream.
