I've given a "shovel talk" to this guy who was interested in my mom. I wasn't having it because I really didn't trust his intentions. So on the second date they went out on (I didn't know they were seeing how things would go), I told him that he better have my mom back home the same way she left or else someone was gonna be in the ambulance & it dang sure wasn't going to be me.

I was only 15 but he believed me. He brought her home on time. Found out the next day that he kissed her. The next time time he came to our house, I told him he needed to back off my mom & shut the door.

She asked why I did that & I said "Don't act like you weren't thinking the sane thing. If that were me, there wouldn't even have been a FIRST date!!"

They stopped going out a couple dats after that. She says she's not dating until I leave for college.
