He crosses his arms, then, apparently steeling himself for what comes next and Loki feels dread deep in his stomach even before the words are out of the man’s mouth. “He has to go. We don’t trust him and we have already lost enough. I won’t lose anyone else.”
He can control his demeanor well enough to just grit his teeth against the words he’s sure are about to come out from his brother’s lips:
Maybe it’s best if you go for now, Loki. They’ll come around but you can’t blame them for needing a little time. You’ll win their trust, eventually.
