What with Howl being one of the Royal Wizards, and Sophie having performed a Very Useful Service to the crown, the wedding was set to be a lavish affair, held in the gardens of the palace itself, attended by at least half the Royal Court, and conducted by the royal bishop. So, naturally, neither Sophie nor Howl had gotten to have any say at all.
