It was the winter break of your seventh year which meant it was time for the usual pureblood Christmas party. This year’s hosts were the Black family. You were well acquainted with the younger Black son, Regulus, being in the same house at Hogwarts and all, but it was the heir to the Black legacy, Sirius, who was the issue. He was a seventh year like you and more haughty, more blunt, and way more unpleasant than his younger brother and seemed to harbour an unexplainable hatred towards you; and you certainly aren’t too fond of him either.
After a never-ending night, filled with talk of politics, pureblood supremacy and annoying pleasantries you two share a cigarette and more common interests than what you initially thought. Everything seems to be going well, until an argument over whose music taste is better arises!
