Young Severus Snape was intrigued by the other boy in the park. He was even more intrigued when he realized that the boy, Harry, was a wizard just like him. He taught Harry all that he knew of the wizarding world and made his first friend. They planned to go to Hogwarts together, to be in Slytherin together, to make friends and a home with people like them. They had no way of knowing the danger and adventures that awaited them at Hogwarts, but Severus knew they'd survive anything as long as they stuck together.
