Satin abruptly found himself alone with Arya Stark and a pair of direwolves.
He watched her for a long moment in the quiet that followed. He was alone with Arya Stark. Jon’s little sister, who all of this had been for. Arya Stark, at last, at last. And Satin found he did not know what in the Hells to say in the slightest. Jon had told him so much about Arya and so many times. He knew so much from the tiniest of details. What she liked to eat to break her fast, her favorite treats, colors, clothes, all of it. Satin knew so much and yet they’d never truly met. And she’s gone through so much, he thought, she must have changed. He searched himself and found he had no idea how to approach her. He was good with children, he knew, but he did not think she could be called a child anymore. Not after all that. And, gods, he wanted her to like him. She was the most important person in Jon’s life. He needed her to like him.
(Jon and Arya have been reunited and Satin finally gets to meet her. Satin works to fit into an established dynamic when so much has changed for everyone involved, but family is a complicated thing)
