The warmth of family

Jason is huddled in front of the fireplace, staying in tonight because he doesn't want to run into Batman and the fight that will mean. The last thing he expects is for someone else to track him down.
“Nobody should be alone on Christmas.” There is a terrible weight to his voice. A knowing that tears at Jason’s heart. He finds himself stepping back and opening the door further, before he makes a conscious decision to do so.
“It’s cold outside, why don’t you come in.”
