Tom shook his head as he replied, "No, You still seem upset, and anyway, I belong at your side, and you belong at mine."
Tom's sweet but straightforward words struck a warm chord in Harry's heart. Harry curled his hand tighter around Tom's. Tom had significantly changed from the boy he first met at the Orphanage. Tom was doing well in school, making friends, and showed genuine care. Harry was incredibly pleased with Tom's progress. Harry took a deep breath of the cool Autumn air, 'Tom isn't Voldemort.'
Alexander walked quietly by the pair. While Harry felt touched by Tom's words, Alexander felt unsettled by them; he did not perceive Tom's words with the same innocence that Harry did.
