Four months have passed since the Battle of Hogwarts that put an end to the reign of dark magic in England. The Daily Prophet has slowed reports of its favourite war heroes, the castle has been rebuilt, and the Golden Trio is slowly moving forward with their lives. Hermione eagerly returns to Hogwarts to prepare for her NEWTS, however after an unwanted birthday party Hermione is left with a permanent reminder of a temporary mistake. She builds a slow friendship in Severus Snape and finds herself connected to him in a way she never would have imagined.
