When Steve wakes, it’s to a gnawing ache in his right shoulder and a weight on his other shoulder that he can’t place until he opens his eyes and looks down.
Wavy brown hair tickles along his jaw and he blinks, trying to place it when his eyes snap up to see Jonathan sitting near the foot of his bed, elbow on the armrest of his own chair and head in his hand, probably having passed out while waiting for him to wake up.
