For the pas...>>t three weeks since Vecna was defeated, she has spent more time in this store than she’s spent asleep in her own bed. It started with the movies, with needing a distraction. After.. everything, and then the Jonathan thing on top of it all… It’s reasonable to need a distraction, right? But she’s got plenty of movies at home. Mike’s collection of action movies could certainly keep her up for at least a week straight. There’s no need for the constant trips. (If not simply for the company). | She’s changed so much since this all began- she’s hardened, brazened. Nancy is tough and independent, something Steve has learned the hard way. But it’s only in this moment that he sees just how vulnerable she still is, and he wants to kick himself for it. How could he let his guard down? How could he drag them all down here? How could he let her become a target? The others are yelling at him...>>, he registers distantly, and he wishes he were more like Dustin and Nancy- he wishes he could think clearly in moments like this, when it mattered.
