| To pray to a god is comparable to worship in its own right. The truth of the matter was that Loki revered those that worshiped him, protecting and adoring them in kind, which made their rejections sting all the more. Nowadays, he was lucky if he received a single prayer within the span of a century. When he receives a prayer in the midst of a meeting with his father, brother, and the council of Asgard, he nearly collapses from the overwhelming emotion it elicits. Once he registers the nature of the prayer, that of desperation and fear, he leaves the meeting with a hasty farewell, coming to the aid of the one he would come to know as Antonia “Toni” Stark. |
