| The story starts when Elizabeth and Maria are staying at the Parsonage at Hunsford. It diverges from canon when Elizabeth receives a package from her father - a copy of the new novel Sense and Sensibility. They start reading it together and this leads to insights into characters and events which had previously been misunderstood. This prevents Darcy making a disastrous proposal in Kent.
