I'm the author of the story that FinkNottle translated without permission.

When she asked me if she could translate it, I said to her politely that she could not. Firstly, the story is not finished. Secondly, the story has many original characters and ideas in it. Thirdly, I would like my story to be posted on a site where I can manage it. It is my story and I want to control it, especially while it is not finished.

FinkNottle ignored me. She did not care that I said no, and posted the story to ficbook.net anyway. (I asked the moderators to delete it from their site. This morning they deleted it.)

When someone takes an English story, translates it and posts it without permission, it makes all the English writers of Mystrade very nervous and upset. We no longer want to trust people who ask us about translations.

Please do not support those translators who are so rude and disrespectful to us. It means that good and respectful translators will lose the chance to translate our work.

I am very upset. I do not want to continue my story, because people on this website treat me like I do not matter. Like I am nothing. Because of FinkNottle, and because of other translators who do not treat authors with respect, you all lose the chance to read our stories.

How will you translate a blank page?
