Kaleidescope

Life is like an ever-shifting kaleidiscope - a slight change, and all patterns alter.

“Harry—”

I yelped when he suddenly grabbed my wrist, jerking me closer to him. I could smell his masculine scent mixed with his minty breath. His much taller form dominated over me, and fear began to seep its way through me. But even in the dimness around us, I could see his green eyes gazing down at me. They were almost hypnotizing…

“You wanted an escape, didn’t you?” Harry asked in a low murmur.

I swallowed heavily. Yes, I wanted an escape. More than anything. Anything to escape the pain.

I nodded.

“Well, Ava, I can give you more than just an escape.” Harry said, his voice husky and hoarse as I felt him back me into the wall. My mouth parted slightly as his body pressed into mine, and I was rendered speechless from the shock of his forwardness. My eyes closed tightly when I felt his lips brush against my ear, his cheek brushing against mine. “I can give you an adventure.”
