Sometimes, when the apartment goes a little too quiet for his taste, he would drive back to their ancestral home, still managed by old caretakers that has been in their family for decades, and goes straight to Huaisang’s room, just to feel a sense of familiarity in his endless routinary days. His brother’s room smells clean, as he expects it to be since the caretakers air out the room every once in a while, but ever so often, there is a lingering smell of a sickeningly sweet flower wafting around, as if Huaisang is dancing around as he normally does, and he gets no sleep at all.
But life goes on as such.
