It's the year before Harry Potter arrives at Hogwarts.
Rebecca Abendroth is an unusual witch. Not in her hometown of New York City where the lines between magic and non-magic folks is blurred, but certainly in the hallowed halls of Hogwarts. She's there to teach medical theory on a post-grad fellowship, but things seem to never go as planned. First, her colleagues are skeptical of her non-magical education and secondly, her first impressions of her new colleague Severus Snape are unfriendly.
