Voldemort isn’t going to kill Harry Potter; what’s the point? This wasn’t his goal in seizing power. The Boy Who Lived must become a symbol of New Magical Britain and of Voldemort’s new policies: reforms “to revive pure magic for those who are pure” and to turn Mudbloods into “labor units.” Harry has ended up in the Institution for Underdeveloped Wizards, which is run by Umbridge. He is separated from his friends and completely cornered. How can one fight when there is not a single chance left?
