“You’re making yourself homemade jibun chocolate? How pathetic, Nee-chan,” Izuna says, peeking into the kitchen to watch her work. Madara growls and grabs the thing closest to her–a wooden spoon–and throws it in the direction of his voice. Izuna ducks and Madara half hopes he runs out to tell Mother that she threw something at him.
No such luck.
Instead he sidles up closer to her as she stirs the mixture of cacao and sweetened condensed milk, waiting for it to turn glossy so she can pour it into the molds and let it chill.
“Go away Izuna, I’m busy,” Madara says, stirring faster. She refuses to rise to his bait, to insist that she’s not making the chocolate for herself. It doesn’t matter anyway when Izuna pokes at the plastic mold, dodging her kick in the process.
“Ooh, it's Hashirama’s chocolate.” He grins at her, all narrow eyes and wide smile, picture perfect beloved but annoying younger brother. “Seems a lot of work for tomo chocolate though…”
“Izuna…”
