Harry lost Severus to fate, Severus wanted Harry to live a long happy life even if it was not with him. He wanted Harry to have everything he deserved in life, including his godfather back.
Yet the letter spoke of something different, the letter spoke of getting Severus back and Harry will go to whatever lengths he has to make that happen.
Harry can't live without Severus.
