The lawyer was out of town, his house empty and vulnerable, just as the thief wanted it. It would be easy to slip in, take what he wanted, and vanish into the night. Easy, except he wasn't the only one breaking into this home. He should report the trespassers to the police, nobody would question his presence here, but watching them proved a far more entertain past time and he was quick to be distracted from his original goal.
