While returning the Infinity Stones, Steve deviates from his mission for just two things, both to ease the suffering of another and lessen the burden on his own heart. The first, is to visit Peggy Carter, to reassure her that he's alive and happy in the future. The second, is to visit himself.
Another Stucky-flavored Endgame fix-it because I am helpless to them.
