After the death of her best friend, Chloe Price, Max is dragged to an anime marathon by a well-meaning Warren. It just so happens that the anime he picked wasn't only sci-fi, but also involved time travel. At first, Max is a bit put out by the topic; she's had enough of messy time travel nonsense, thank-you-very-much, but when they get to the end of the anime, it plants an idea in her head.
Her powers had evolved once before to allow her to jump into photographs. What if she could will it to evolve again?
What if there was a way she could go back and allow events to happen without causing the storm or sacrificing anyone?
