What if all those centuries ago Abel had been captured when he returned to Earth with Lilith's body? Imprisoned and forced to fight for the Vatican for the past ~800 years Abel is a slightly different man. His existence and history hidden from all those but his jailer he is known only as the Weapon for most of history. A myth whispered about by the Vatican's enemies. But with the ascension of Alessandro XVIII things have been different. Instead of the Pope, it is a Cardinal who acts as his Master, one Caterina Sforza, and she likes to think herself kinder than most. Disguising him as a regular Priest, an agent of her AX he is allowed to live out among the world and go on missions that are more than just "go here, kill this person" but this small taste of false freedom only makes his chains feel heavier and more apparent. It is not until he meets and befriends the young courageous Esther that he begins to see a faint glimmer of hope of reuniting with his sister and re-joining his people.
