What Remains (слэш)

Harry held out his hand.
It was a simple gesture, open and unthreatening, palm up between them. He did not reach farther. He simply offered.
Snape stared at the offered hand as though it were something dangerous and necessary at once. His own hand lifted an inch, then dropped. He took a half-step back, then forward again. The internal struggle played across his face in small, telling ways: the tightening of his mouth, the flicker of his eyes, the way his breathing had gone carefully measured.
“This is unwise,” he said, almost to himself.
“I know.”
