I Hate Everything About You (фемслэш)

She hated everything.
She hated the precinct café coffee that tasted like day-old socks. She hated the soft way her mother spoke to her whenever a new bruise appeared on her face, as though speaking quietly might somehow make the bruise hurt less. She hated when anyone other than her family called her Janie. She hated the glares and whispered voices of people too intimidated to approach her desk to ask a simple question.
She hated having to prove herself. And she hated that she cared about proving herself.
She hated the way every mistake she made seemed to confirm what some people already believed about women in homicide.
But most of all, she hated the new Chief Medical Examiner, Dr. Maura Isles.
At least, that's what she told herself.
