Since Bucky and Steve got back together, Clint was used to seeing how much happier both of them were together than they had been before. He loved that his friends got their miraculous second chance. He loved watching them rediscover everything that made their love so beautiful and learn new things to add to their happiness in a future where they're allowed to be open about it. He never begrudged their happiness just because his love life didn't ever play out the same.
But coming face to face with Phil Coulson, the love of Clint's life, the man who died over two years ago, changed everything in a second.
