He had just been learning the shape of his life after divorce when this relationship with Mycroft came along. And now a feeling of change hung about the corners of his mind like a spectre, unwilling or unable to let him go, and the sand under his feet always seemed to be shifting, shifting. Greg needed something solid to lean on.
They'd fought their battles, and reached a measure of peace. But it was still going to take a little time to bring everything into accord.
