It’s the autumn of 1941, war is raging in Europe, German U-boats are raiding Allied convoys in the Atlantic, the Luftwaffe is bombing English cities, and the cryptographers at Bletchley Park are working feverishly to decode their enemies' encrypted communications. One should consider this challenge and distraction enough for capricious codebreaker Sherlock Holmes. But the true enigmas are yet waiting to be deciphered: an unbreakable code, a strange murder, and the arrival of Surgeon Captain John H. Watson of the Royal Navy.
Примечания автора: The idea of this story has been nagging me for a long time, so much so that eventually I yielded and started writing it. Progress is likely going to be slow due to the huge amount of research required (and my other WIP fanfics, and RL), but I hope you'll bear with me. Progress updates will appear on my tumblr at the #enigma tag, as well as occasional illustrations. Actually, there's one already, sort of. Inspired by an Exchangelock challenge that prompted a Historical AU, I created a painting, "Enigma", that shows a (potential) scene set in this verse. The story is going to involve historical characters in supporting roles. It will also refer to historical events. I'll try to represent them faithfully, although there will be alterations and some artistic freedom to allow for the story to unfold.

Микрочеловек, когда папа в отпуске: уже семь утра, вы почему ещё спите?! «Мама, ты всё! Папа, ты всё!»
#переезд успешно состоялся, теперь у микрочеловека есть своя комната и кровать-машинка. Все дни до переезда обещал, что будет в ней спать, сам выбрал себе постельное бельё с синим трактором и очень ждал, ну когда уже поедем в новый большой дом. Неожиданно обещание сдержал. Но старую кроватку в своей комнате всё равно на всякий случай поставили. Продолжаем вести наблюдение.
Вещей оказалось неожиданно много, в предыдущий переезд их было гораздо меньше. Так что наблюдаем классическую загадку, когда в однушке помещалось столько вещей, сколько теперь не знаешь, как распихать в большой двушке)))
Ну и квест с неподписанными коробками оказался ожидаемо плохой идеей, но мы справились
