The war is over, but Severus Snape is depressed. After being forced into the hospital wing by Albus, Minerva, and Poppy, he embarks on a journey of recovery. As he struggles with self-harm, suicidal thoughts, and briefly being de-aged, he comes to realize that his family has been there for him all along.
