Set in an AU where Jack never died, Rhys just recently got the demotion of a lifetime thanks to the untimely airlocking of his now former boss, Henderson. Thinking it's the end of all he's worked for, Rhys gives up his hopes of climbing the Hyperion ladder. That is until the day a single good deed turns his whole life around.
(Update 7/5/21: I am rewriting this from the ground up because I don't like where it was going or the pace I had it going at. It will be continued, but I will likely delete this and start it over!)
