October 31st, 1981, Lily Potter was murdered and her daughter was given the name 'The-Girl-Who-Lived' for surviving the killing curse. Following this, the Potter twins, Harry and Ella Potter, were placed with the Dursleys to keep them safe from the machinations of a magical world that had been stuck in war for too long.
Unfortunately, the Potter twins grow up unloved and mistreated, barely surviving while they huddled in their cupboard under the stairs. When Harry turns five he begins to fear that he and his sister won't be able to continue with the Dursleys starving them. He made a desperate wish for help and it was answered by his magic acting out. He hides his new power, even from his sister, for fear of what his relatives might do to him if they found out. But now the future held a ray of hope.
