Megaera Brass is eleven years old, and due to start at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry - but neither her mother or Severus want her to go. Why, though, she's apparently not old enough to learn, so she'll just have to find out herself.
Once there, however, the ghosts, feasts, classes and teachers soon drive all thoughts of her family mysteries out of her mind. Most intriguing of all is the Philosopher's Stone, a hidden object with implications so wide that it might just tell her something about family after all.
