Now she just prays for solitude and, on occasion, death. The less involved she is, the better. To be able to disappear without a trace so that no one would ever notice she was gone. She repeats these prayers like a mantra, day after day, half-wishing that someone might show up to prove her wrong. That maybe, somewhere on this dastardly continent, There exists a person depraved enough to love someone as unlucky and glum and boring as herself. She dares not pray for such a thing, but on occasion she imagines someone really seeing her and wanting her and caring about her. No one ever does. In the end, she’s alone, just how she intends to be.
Marianne lives a precarious life, longing for acceptance but afraid to pursue it. When she joins the Blue Lions house, though, the ball starts turning and soon she might find the community that she always suspected didn't exist-a community full of people who might grow to accept her.
I'm awful at descriptions, but this is my character study of Marianne as a Blue Lion, and her relationships with the other members of the house.
