She dares not pray for such a thing, but on occasion she imagines someone really seeing her and wanting her and caring about her. No one ever does. In the end, she’s alone, just how she intends to be. Marianne lives a precarious life, longing for acceptance but afraid to pursue it. When she joins the Blue Lions house, though, the ball starts turning and soon she might find the community that she always suspected didn't exist-a community full of people who might grow to accept her. I'm awful at descriptions, but this is my character study of Marianne as a Blue Lion, and her relationships with the other members of the house. |
