Asgard Burning

Loki didn't know what he was doing, standing there while Asgard was crumbling all around him under Surtur's wrath. He knew he couldn't let millennia of knowledge burn like this. And if, on his way out, he happened to see a certain homicidal sister whimpering under a pillar, well she had answers to the questions that haunted him.
He would save her, if only so she could tell him what he wanted to know.
That's all. No other reason.
Right, he could do this!
 
Little did Loki know just how much he would change the fate of the universe with this one simple deviation.
