The divergence from canon begins after that point.Greetings!So this is my one Author’s note. I don’t expect you to read it but it would be nice if you did. This will be the only one, I promise.This is my one little pathetic contribution to the huge and wonderful fanbase that is Bleach and GrimmIchi. It’s a slow build with what I hope is some decently entertaining plot, as is typical of my writing style. I really only wrote it to satisfy my own need as it feels like plot-driven slow build stories are pretty hard to come by these days. I originally didn’t intend to post this but, after seeing how wonderful the fanbase for this pairing seems to be, I figured it couldn’t hurt. And maybe someone will actually find it worth a read.Anyways, it’s just a fun little popcorn-munching story that isn’t mean to be too deep or too emotional or too stressful. You can think of it in the same way you might think of a filler arc. Not meant to be taken too seriously, but still a fun ride and you get to watch some of your favorite characters have some crazy shenanigans in the process. It was supposed to be pretty short but it grew to be a bit longer than I anticipated. Still, it’s a good length, and it feels complete. So, dear Reader, if you read it and glean some small enjoyment out of it, my heart will be satisfied.By the way, as a disclaimer, I’ve read a lot of GrimmIchi so far but there’s just so much of it that I haven’t been able to get through yet. I’m sure some of these themes have probably been used before in different ways. I apologize in advance and I hope I don’t elicit any eyerolls or comments of ‘god, not this again!’With that said, please enjoy the show.
