When Daenerys dies in his arms, all Jon can feel is the utter wrongness of it. He can't let her go; can't comprehend what happened. He can only sit there with her as Drogon's flames come down.
When he wakes up in Castle Black, all he can think that maybe it was that vision from the Lord of Light that Lady Melisandre has been asking about. Even if it was naught but his hell, he is determined to stop it from coming to life. His first step is to renew his oath; the second is to make sure Daenerys lives.
