"Orochimaru is free." Naruto says. Kakashi stops dead.
"Orochimaru is free, and Sasuke's in a fucking cage."
Naruto doesn't want the arm Tsunade's cooked up for him. He can't stand the smell of meat. The village is barely rebuilt and filling up with refugees who have nowhere else to go. Half of everyone he knows is dead. He hides from the looks people give him. Why is everyone so happy? Why are they smiling?
He was supposed to save the world. He was supposed to be a hero. Where did it go wrong?
Naruto tries to reconcile what Konoha is and what he wants it to be. The childhood he thought he left behind, the feelings he's suppressed, rear their heads in ugly and unsettling ways. The war has consequences he never imagined.
It's time for Naruto to do some growing up.
