"I'm fine," Olivia insists but she allows Alex to take hold of her hands again. As she begins to open a new package of sterile gauze, Alex scoffs a little. Showing an attempt at levity for the first time all night, Alex plainly says, "I wouldn't exactly consider your current state 'fine.'" Or, Olivia’s childhood trauma gets the better of her.
