Six years after the end of the war, Zuko is facing increasing threats from conspiracies looking to reinstall his father and sister to power. Growing desperate, he makes a difficult decision to have Azula re-educated through experimental and questionable means. The result? A new, reformed Azula. With his sister converted, the conspiracies seeking to overthrow him all but collapse. However, cracks start showing as she attempts to establish a new life and rekindle her old friendship with Mai and Ty Lee. Unaware of the methods used in her recovery, the two seemed thoroughly convinced by her transformation, and decide to give her one more chance to be a good friend. Shortly after her release, a civil war is ignited in the Earth Kingdom by a recently escaped Long Feng, throwing the land back into chaos. All the while, Azula just tries to hold the pieces together.
