Anthony Edward “Tony” Stark had a number of varying monikers, depending on who you asked.
Genius. Billionaire. Playboy. Philanthropist. Iron Man.
Merchant of Death.
Tony despised that epithet, found it derisive of his father’s legacy, mocking his own.
His friends sympathised with his hatred of the nickname.
His enemies sneered and laughed at his refusal of embracing his true heritage.
Thor and Loki, one brother his friend and the other his foe, merely found the sobriquet confusing. How could everyone else in the mortal realm be so blind to the man’s true form? How could they not see that he was so much more than a mere Merchant of Death?
