Finally, his eyes land on Tav. And for the first time this evening, they rest. And he considers. Tav's face shows nothing, carefully composed, unreadable even to Astarion's cunning. It makes his gaze linger. Voluntarily or involuntarily, Astarion isn't certain. But he doesn't care. What he cares about is the aura that Tav radiates. Astarion has seen it many times over the years, both in Cazador's enemies and allies; that promise of power. It's delicious. Tav could be his ticket to finally escape Cazador's clutches.
Astarion licks his lips—not greedily, but thoughtfully.
