After six months they had managed to convince themselves that everyone at the precinct knew about it. And after a year they were sure everyone was just about ready to get their wedding invites in the post soon.
Their first mistake was making all these assumptions.
When the year and a half was up, Sonny and Rafael were living together, adopting their second cat, and visiting the Carisis every Sunday. Which in their book, and both of their families, meant that they were as good as married already.
