He had been worried about a shameful death before, but, truly, he hadn’t understood the extent of shame he could bring down upon himself while he was still alive. Now that he did, he only felt relief. Maybe his death will even be marked down as a side effect of some unknown plant pollen, or maybe as a curse placed upon the bracelet, slightly displaced atop the altar.
As a peak lord, Shen Qingqiu is hated, but maybe someone will finally discipline that Shang-shidi of his for spouting shit every other meeting, now that the consequences come with a body count. Maybe they won’t even find his body, because Shang-shidi’s directions are so incomprehensible and nobody other than Shen Qingqiu ever had the patience for them.
Well, maybe Yue Qingyuan would.
